Hilton Bellevue Hotel Guest Comments

This hotel should be used as the model for how hotel staff should treat guests. From the cleaning, café and restaurant staff to the front desk staff every interaction I had was far above any other hotel experience I have had in the past 2 years. It is clear that the staff at this hotel takes pride in their work and want guests to experience the best service. Although I did not meet the maintenance staff, I can tell this pride extends to them as well. The hotel was very well maintained and in great working order. I recommend you find out what they are doing to promote this behavior in their staff and model it in your other properties. TripAdvisor Guest - May 11, 2011

Comfy Beds and the BEST Customer Service - My brother and I stayed here and I was impressed with the size of the room and how clean and comfortable it was. Heard no noise at all, the beds were so comfortable and check in was a breeze. I would especially like to say the staff in Basil's restaurant during breakfast were so polite and we had excellent service. I have stayed in A LOT of hotels all over the world and although it isn't the lap of luxury it was a perfect stay! Highly recommend this hotel. Vancouver TripAdvisor Guest - June 6, 2011

Good location - Went down to watch the Mariners & Yankees, & when Yankees are in town the prices go up in downtown Seattle, so decided to stay in Bellevue. Great price and only 15 mins to get down to Safeco Field. The hotel is great, the rooms are very spacious and very clean. Also, parking is free, compared to downtown. I will stay again for sure. Nice Hilton with large rooms - I love staying at most Hilton properties - this one has a large glass lobby and is visually very appealing. The rooms were very quiet and spacious. I appreciated having a balcony on the few nights of warmth Bellevue experienced. They have a free breakfast buffet on the 9th floor if your an Honors member, however, I did not wake up early enough to experience it myself. The gym was well equipped and not heavily populated. Hope I can stay here again. Reviewed May 9, 2011

What a pleasant surprise! I admit - I wasn't really excited about having to stay at the Hilton Bellvue - from the outside, it looked like it had been caught in a 70's time warp. My client suggested that hotel because they have a corporate discount arranged there. Surprise - surprise - - it was just perfect! I'd go back there in a heartbeat. The staff, from the front desk clerks all the way to the lady who served the complimentary breakfast on the "executive floor" were just as thoughtful and accommodating as could be. The room was very comfortable, and although not over-the-top, was clean and comfortable. And although my room gave me a panoramic view of the freeway, I never recall hearing any road noise. There's also a very large parking lot, which came in handy on Sunday afternoon (at my arrival) when the hotel was hosting an American Girl Doll-themed luncheon for mothers and their daughters (and, I'd assume, their dolls). Service with a smile! I stayed here while attending a conference at the Hyatt about a mile away. The free shuttle was outstanding. It runs at the top of each hour but the bellman is happy to take you where you want to go if you show up on the half-hour. When I needed a pick-up at the Hyatt, I'd call and the driver would show up within 10 minutes. The rooms were fine and serviceable. I was on the Executive Floor and enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning (outstanding sweet pineapple!). This Hilton offers appetizer coupons to people on the Executive Floor instead of serving appetizers in the breakfast area. Appetizer choices include Caesar salad, fruit & cheese plate, hot wings, clam chowder, etc. You get one coupon per night's stay and can use two coupons maximum. The Caesar salad was really good. You can use the coupons in the restaurant or for room service. I was happy that an additional tray fee was not tacked on if the coupons are used for room service. Free high speed internet access is provided to Hilton Gold & Diamond members and parking is free--both a happy perk in these times of additional hotel charges.

The most surprising aspect of this hotel was the service: from the bellman/shuttle driver to the front desk and especially to the kind and genuine woman who managed the executive floor breakfast area--everyone was sincere and friendly. It was a little shocking and a delight. I would definitely stay at this hotel again--not for the rooms or the location, but for the outstanding staff. Last Minute reservation on day our grandson was born! - We stayed on 12/4/2010 after learning our new grandson had been born that morning - made a last-minute reservation on the internet at 10:30 am & we drove from Spokane and checked in shortly after 3pm - it literally took 30 seconds to check in, the staff (2 gals at the front desk ) could not have been nicer - our room was HUGE, absolutely gorgeous decor (must have been recently remodeled, cuz some of the other reviews refer to old carpet - everything in our room was BRAND NEW and you could tell) and when we got back from the hospital around 7:30 pm, ordered room service. The server was extremely prompt, the food was fantastic (fruit & cheese plate- great assortment, hot wings, and to die-for chocolate cake with LOTS of fresh different berries). More than enough for the 2 of us. (As a Hilton Gold member, part of this was free, as were the breakfasts the next morning.)

The bed was terrific, my husband didn't want to leave the next morning! The breakfast buffet in Basil's Kitchen on Sunday morning was unreal - could not believe the array of offerings - service was prompt and the wait staff was outstanding. The food was excellent. We have 4 kids & spouses/family who live in the Seattle area, so this will be our centralized location to reach all of them as they are indeed spread out, Kent, Seattle, Bothell & Bellevue- we really fell in love with this place and the staff - the location is utterly perfect and we can't wait to go back!! Also, the holiday decorations were just beautiful! The only thing we didn't like was the fancy shmancy coffee maker that makes 1 or 2 cups at a time in a paper cup- (and you only get enough for one cup each ) HIGHLY recommend this hotel for the money spent - in Bellevue! Wonderful Value!!! (Great gift shop too - the snack prices are extremely reasonable - they don't gouge you like so many places I've seen!) - Spokane WA - TripAdvisor Guest - December 27, 2010

Experience at the Hilton - I had recently stayed at Hilton for a business trip and the experience was much better than most of the hotels I have stayed in this area. The rooms are super spacious and have all the regular amenities that a business traveller requires. The hotel staff is not the regular indifferent but actually very courteous and helpful. The food was definitely in accordance with my tastes and I thoroughly enjoyable experience after my conference relaxing at the hotel bar!

The amenities for the conference were very well arranged and the logistics hardly had a glitch. The only flip side was that 250+ people browsing the WiFi at the hotel did prove a bit too much for the available bandwidth. Other than that, everything else gets a thumbs up. A definite choice for organizing a business conference. Bangladore India TripAdvisor Guest - November 29, 2010

Staff stated that this was the best venue in all the years that I have coordinated our meetings. I've had them in Seattle at the Waterfront Marriott, Westin and Hyatt. From staff to food, beverages, and audio visual. You have made our event successful, fun and would like to come back again. Thanks to Lis, she went above and beyond helping me make this event great! Please thank everyone from the back of the house and front. The Bellevue Hilton has a great staff!! Thank you.

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. Everyone was so helpful and went above and beyond what they "needed" to do. We couldn't have had a better wedding, stay at the hotel, or overall experience. Thank you, thank you to everyone who helped in putting our event together. Gwen and jose, hands down, did an exceptional job.

I just wanted to share my appreciation for all the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by Gwen Walton, our Event Manager for the 2010 Hardy Plant Study Weekend that was held June 18 - 21. From start to finish, including during the time she was out on maternity leave, Gwen was always in touch, responded quickly, and helped troubleshoot any problem we had or answer any of our questions. Thank you so much for your hard work in making our meeting a success.  Please convey my thanks to Mr. Taylor and Londa as well.  David told me this morning he was very impressed with the service, catering, and the room.  If we have any more events like this I will be certain to keep the Bellevue Hilton in mind. Please let me know as soon as possible what our final bill will be. Thanks again.

GW is one of the top 5 convention service managers I've ever worked with. She knows her stuff and was a godsend to me since I was performing double duty – registration and meeting planning that week. I've already recommended your hotel to our contract specialist at SAE to consider for future meetings.

Wow--what a great night, thanks to you and everyone at the Hilton.  I must tell you that people were consistently praising the menu. More than a few people said it was the best food they have ever been served at an auction.  Congratulations on another great event.  We're two for two! Thank you again.

Thank you for an excellent experience.  The food was outstanding and all attendees were quite impressed with the quality of the cuisine and extra effort to which the Chef and staff went.  An extra thank you to Alex in the A/V department who helped me with my equipment failure.  He is a credit to your hotel and an exceptional young employee.  Thanks, also, to the Chef for coming to the room and greeting my gathering. It was a very nice touch!

The hotel staff including front desk, sales, and servicing are excellent. Their customer service attitude is matched by no other venue we utilize. While we are a friendly group we can be high maintenance. They did an excellent job of rolling with the punches. Very accommodating.

Comfortable Stay, Convenient Location- My husband and I stayed at the Hilton while visiting family in the Seattle area. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was right. I am a fairly picky person especially when it comes to hotel rooms, however, I have nothing to complain about. Kudos on a job well done.

Not Bad - Not Great- Attended a conference at end of June/start of July. Was given a room on the ninth floor, so complementary buffet breakfast every morning was a great perk. Good food, lots of choice. Room was adequate, not the best maid service (no extra towels when asked for). Clean-up was rushed, not usual attention to details. Beds were very comfortable. Pool was OK, but whirlpool wasn't working (staff assured me it would be fixed "next day", but in my 5-day stay it never was). Close to all amenities in Bellevue and Seattle is close by. If you need a basic place to stay near I-405, this is a good choice.

Hotwired it... nice place, huge rooms, friendly & helpful front desk staff- I usually stay at the nearby Sheraton to save some bucks, but I got a great deal on the Hilton (both are considered 3.5 stars by Hotwire) and ended up spending a week here on a business/leisure trip. The decor (per the staff, 3 years old) looks more like it's 15... dowdy colors and old dinged furniture. The carpet in my room was peeling up by the bathroom and you could feel the tacks pricking your feet. There was very little water pressure in the shower, too. I did, however, like the free parking and the giant, wall-to-wall windows in each very large room, plus the excellent sound-proofing. There was a screaming baby in the next room and you could only hear him from the hallway. Finally! This is a large, older hotel (circa 1980) and it feels like its best days are behind it, but it was doing good business. Beware of some rooms on lower floors... they're slightly below grade and look into the parking lot.

A very nice stay- Had a very nice experience here. The hotel does look a bit dated in spots, but nothing that would cause anyone to raise an eyebrow. Beds VERY comfortable. Only real complaint would be the parking lot, which appears to have been only partially re-paved and all the spaces are haphazardly painted in place, hard to see and WAY too close together. Otherwise, can't find a thing to complain about. Will be staying there again!

It was a pleasure to be at your establishment.  The service was good, the food was good, and the meeting attendees had nothing but good things to say about you.  I would be more than happy to come back again and will keep you in mind if every any of my associates plan to come that way. Please thank everyone for a job well done.

Excellent Hotel - wish it were closer to Seattle- This is by far a great hotel - was there on business but is nice, clean and definitely worth staying at again. The location for me was a bit off - as I was not familiar with the layout of Bellevue or Seattle but that was my own fault.

Hilton Bellevue Hotel

Great stay at the Hilton- I was not expecting much as the last cople of times I have stayed at a Hilton property they have been in much need of rehab. This was not the case with this hotel. I stepped into the hotel and was greeted by a very happy and helpful staff and while I am a hilton honors member I don't have a high status but they have a floor dedicated to Hilton Honors members. My room was huge and had a great king bed with couch and flat screen tv. The bathroom looked new and I had a great night sleep. It is a great location as it is only 10-15 minutes from downtown.

Hilton Bellevue Hotel

Great hotel for runners!- I stayed here in July while attending a meeting at Microsoft. The hotel is a bit south of downtown Bellevue, but still a manageable walking distance (maybe a mile to Bellevue Square Mall?). There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and there are sidewalks everywhere to make these walks pleasant. As others have mentioned, I was put in a second-floor room, which is 1 floor below the check-in desk. Despite this, the room still has a large window which looks out onto a wooded creek area. So while it's a little surprising to be below the check-in desk, it's not like you're actually underground. The hotel is fairly nice, though nothing particularly unique about it of course. My TV was not working when I checked in, but they fixed it quickly. In my tripadvisor reviews, I always try to include info on running routes nearby. This hotel has a great one! When I asked the front desk about running routes, they immediately knew where to send me and pulled out a map. If you leave the hotel parking lot and turn left, you run about 1-1.5 miles on nice sidewalks to get to Mercer Slough Nature Park. In there, you have miles of trails and boardwalks to run on. It's a wonderful find! You don't feel like you're in Seattle when you're running in this park! (The hotel desk also mentioned Bellevue's Downtown Park which has a little loop trail of ~1km. I've done this on previous trips, and while it is nice to run outside, the Mercer Slough is a much better place for running any substantial distance.

Good solid choice- My husband and I have stayed here twice in the last several months -- once with the kids and once without. Both times the stay was wonderful. The beds are extremely comfortable and if the "Do Not Disturb" sign is out, the cleaning staff is great about letting you sleep in!!! The hotel is quiet and clean. Our 4 year-old especially liked the glass elevators. The Bellevue Hilton is close to lots of shopping and fabulous dining options and without traffic Seattle is just 15 minutes away. If you are arriving between 3:00 - 6:00pm on a week day, you may want to search for a route that allows you to avoid I-405. Over all a great place (and great value in Bellevue) for a get-away (romantic or family)! We will definately stay here again for a Mariner or Seahawk game or for the fun 4th of July celebration in Bellevue.
Travelocity Guest, July 2008

I recommend staying here!- When we arrived, we were very pleased with the friendly staff. Everyone treated us with respect. The room was very adequate, and although we faced the highway, we didn't hear any outside noise. It was an easy trip into downtown Seattle, and there were several places to eat around the area.Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would stay here again.
