Discover Traditional Acoustic American Music at Wintergrass Festival
Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind festival? Look no further.
Between 22nd and 25th of February, Wintergrass Music Festival is bringing you the sound of traditional acoustic American music in Seattle.
What is Wintergrass?
This family-friendly festival is dedicated to good music, especially bluegrass. The reason it’s one of a kind is that besides concerts, dance, and good music, you can join one of the workshops or impromptu jams.
It’s even better if your children are musicians-to-be because they can learn the basics here.
Educational Opportunities for Young or Experienced Musicians
Wintergrass not only brings you music but also shows you what’s behind closed doors. They have a variety of courses for children starting at the age of 4 through college students.
Youth Academy, Youth Orchestra and Rhapsody Songsters are three of the most appealing programs they offer for the little ones.
Additionally, they offer intensive classes and courses for musicians that want to improve their technique. From rhythm to musical puzzles and improvisation, you can work on any skill you don’t master just yet.
This year, the event will be held at Hyatt Regency Bellevue, and names like Del McCoury & David Grisman, Mark O’Connor with the O’Connor Band or Kenny & Amanda Smith are top of the list.
Other names that will enchant your hearing on the four stages are Joe Craven & the Sometimes, Laurie Lewis & the Right Hands, and Väsen.
If you want to experience the Wintergrass Seattle 2018 feeling, book a stay with us at Hilton Bellevue. We’re located two streets away from the festival so that you won’t miss any of the jams or workshops.
